all speeds of business are existing and flourishing now throughout the world - perhaps things will more or less stay this way - for it seems that it is a nice mixture to have the old methods along with the new more technical methods existing side by side in the same world -

Stay In Business Long Enough to Benefit from the Advertising Money Spent!

Well it looks like I have not thought about the speed of business for quite a long while and then I received a call the other day from a lady who received my business card 16 years ago - in Brooklyn and now she is living in New Jersey and wants to come for a portrait soon -

The only thing that I can say about this type of call is that the lesson is that I have to stay in business long enough to benefit from the advertising that I have done - ……………………………………………….

Think Creatively and with the knowledge that there is no limit to the amount that you are able to earn except the limit which you yourself place on your own thinking -

when and if it is ever the time for anyone to do one thing or the other they will do just that - no need to explain to anyone and as far as art or business is concerned - I have watched so many people create their art or operate their business in so many various ways that I know better than to say that anyone has to do anything in a specific way - I know for sure that there are people who are able to create their art or run their businesses without ever taking so much as a peek on the Internet - how or why a person does one thing or the other really comes down to their own personal taste just as anything else -

A long time ago -

my father said to me -

look to meet the right people

and then there was a big (?) in my mind

since I was not sure exactly who any of those right people might be

until I saw that there was no wrong in any individual

and

until I decided that every single individual

is the right person - in one way or other at one time or other for something of what I can provide to them in some way or other -

would you like to be excluded from that list of the entire population of society and be labeled "disqualified" ?

I think not!

So it is my belief that if I treat every individual as I would like to be treated perhaps as a special and important and valued customer - then they will act as they are just that and keep on coming back for whatever it is that they need - no matter what that is!

How would you feel -

if you were

disqualified?

or considered a lead

or any other such means or method of targeting

or labeling

that is so often done

under the heading of

effective marketing

which turns out to be so ineffective -

if you really believe in the fact that business are made up of people either teamed up in some organized manner or one individual serving another - then you may just see just how futile it would be to continue on the road of helping or serving your neighbor and at the same time addressing them as a lead or a potential customer or any other such contrived label -

instead it just might be best to go about the day helping or serving others in whatever way that you can and that will do just fine if you help as many people as possible and never give it any thought what title or label they have written across their faces when it comes to all of these fancy words -

wouldn't that make the whole world feel like a much more friendly and helpful and down right easier place to live and work and play and do just about anything from now on?

I think that it has always been most important what people feel about their experience when they are dealing with me for whatever it is that they came to me for in the way of images - either in the case of an assignment or for a piece of art and the fact that I call myself a business to me is really irrelevant in the sense that it is me the person dealing with another person or persons and somehow we mesh and become a team - at that point where things are really humming so to speak it is not one business and another business or a customer and my business but a real team focused on achieving the jointly agreed upon goal - and better -

as far as the word authentic and it's definition:

I am not sure how what I described above can be anything but authentic and I suppose the question I asked was because the article and even your question asking - What is becoming more important? What you say about yourself (business) or what people say about you (business)?

is in a sense kind of curious as well - since both are and have been important elements to the whole picture as far as I can see - and they are neither of them becoming more or less important because someone has written an article on this topic -

I know for a fact that for years the same concepts and ideas have been presented year after year in magazines in different months rehashing the same subjects - perhaps with a bit of a different slant or a different flavor to the wording - but the subject matter remains basically the same - what is being said is not something new or revolutionary so to speak simply because it is being printed this month in the latest issue of whatever magazine or in this mornings yahoo news or the hottest blog on such and such subject and this is my point - because something is being emphasized or touted or accentuated or blasted at this point in time as the evolving newest order of things does not mean that anything has changed except for lots of people their knowledge of what is really very basic is finally really coming of age -

this is my take on things and that the networks mechanics spreads the news of ideas or technological breakthroughs a great deal faster than a magazine that comes out off - line and may take a bit longer and is more expensive for the readers to gain the knowledge or to have some ideas sink in this just allows for some knowledge *(perhaps) to spread a bit faster - but knowledge and common sense and good ideas and smart ideas are still that whether they are printed in an article in a newspaper or magazine or are written on the latest blog - these are simply different means of delivery and in one case over the other the means of delivery may be less expensive and faster - but they customer - provider relationship still has to take time to develop and that very often in many cases can only be done one on one individually - one step at a time -



therefore - what I say about my business (my philosophy) and the commitment that I have to carrying that out no matter what the environment that I am functioning in is like - and what the person or person's who are interested in satisfying their needs by coming to me for the fulfillment of those needs experiences are both as important and the spark must happen somewhere between the two concepts not on only one or the other side -

It appears from a certain perspective that business may actually have a different shape or form than has every been realized - it may in actuality never begin and never end - consider the air we breathe - it is free now but in time may be charged for - like the water that we drink - we are getting a taste of how delicious or how much the pure stuff is really worth and then some folks will come along and figure out how to bottle all different brands and versions of it - So if there is something that seems to be free at this moment - think of it as not always staying at the free level - but think of this as the sample stage which at a later date will be charged for perhaps in small amount in the beginning and will get much grander and bolder in it's steps up for larger profit percentages as time goes on and more features are added.

If the real pleaure of life is in the getting there (wherever you are going to) and not necessarily in the arriving, then why not extend the getting there as long as possible - in order to extend the pleasure?

Perhaps this will lead to some extraoridinary results in various phases of business as well as produce some extraordinary profits (in whatever shape or form they may materialize or be presented).

Today I found that I was interested in beggining to brush up and perhaps getting into something that I began and worked at for a bit quite a while ago - blogging - and yet there still remains the same issue that was there what seems such a long time ago - and that is that I am a photographer/artist and my writing skills, although they may not be all that bad, take up such a great amount of time and energy,---- time and energy that I still need to create and upload so many of my images to my new image arena:

Does anyone have a solution for my (what seems to be) dilemna at this point in time?

If the greatest enjoyment of any journey occurs during the getting there rather than at the arrival point, then the journey might then be extended as long as possible - even a whole lifetime, so that the enjoyment then lasts as long as possible!

What, if anything at all, will any of the actions that you or I take during any of the many moments during our lives, do to alter in a positive or negative way, the entire course of humanity?

My own thinking has been transformed recently - I mentioned it here earlier that I was thinking pretty deeply about the brain recently and how it is a super computer but that we supposedly only utilize about 5-10% of it most of the time - so I thought that we might need a new software like a desktop of laptop needs a new software or operating system to make it work more efficiently - so I was thinking that I would need to erase all of the software that I had in my computer (my brain) and then figure out how to write or create and upload a new operating system for my brain -

Then I also had the thought that there must be a reason that we each and everyone of us were given such a high powered super computer and also that it did not make sense that we were given this super computer without the proper operating system?

So I said to myself stop - and then I realized that something else might be happening - and that most probably is that my assumptions were wrong - that we do have an up to date and highly efficient operating system but tha this operating system and the computer cannot function as they are supposed to if:

1. We are continuously adding so much information to the mix

2. We have too many auxiliary funtions for the brain to operate

3. There is a lotof incorrect directions and solutions that are being fed into the in box -

4. We attempt at jumping ahead of the computer with an answer while it is still working

5. We don't listem to the computer even when the answer is coming forth

And so my dream to solve the issue of utilizing more of the brain may be worked on my me by allowing the brain to function properly by not tryng to comming up with the answers to so many things but ----- and this is important ---- to let the tool (the brain) do the work - instead of me!!!!

The fact that we may need at least 8 glasses of water per day does not mean that we must drink the whole 8 glasses in one sitting by gulping it all at once - in fact this may cause a person to drown themselves - Instead sips of water along the way is preferrable and will surely prevent any unnecessary drowning!

It is nowhere written that a person must perceive themselves working for money - they must only be doing what it is that they do their best at - If that task be working at making sense of something no one else is able to make sense of - then that is what they are doing - comprehending and then nothing more nor less - but comprehending - this is enought to give anyone's life the meaning they need to go one from one moment to the next and therein lies the essence of a person's existence - meaning!

It becomes more and more obvious that a total erasing of the software programming that the later model brain comes with at birth is the most necesary part of the process in order to render any new software functional - the most difficult part of any individuals life is to imagine somehow erasing all of the things that he or she has learned up until this stage in his or her life and so this particular task being implemented after discovery of just how to accomplish this task remains a definite challenge -

So let's say that there is a genius quality in each individual person in the entire world (that is somewhere in the vicinity of 6.5 billions brains give or take a few) - great - it is our challenge to not only discover what that genius (different in each individual person) is but to enhance the person's ability to utilize that genius - let's take the fact that the brain is the center of this genius ability and that the brain extends out to the entire body of the person (through the nerves etc.) but as has been stated time and time again the capacity of any person's brain is much more than any one individual is utilizing -

So here is one way of looking at it -

If you went to the bank and because of a printout or screen that indicated that you had $100.00 in your account and then someone let's say a bank officer came and told you that you had $1,000,000.00 in your account and you simply had to figure out how to access this and that is all that he told you - might you not want to search for a way to access that money which is a much greater amount than you were told by the printout and screen display - ?

the same exact situation is constantly told to us humans - that we have this most powerful supercomputer in the world - more powerful than any computer built by man and that our current use of it perhaps reaches 5% - is there no interest by any individual or group of individuals to access (just like the money account where we were told that there is much more money available to us that we see on a printout) the rest of the power and abilities and the resulting efforts capable of this supercomputer (some 95% worth)?

And even before we figure out how to access this power or ability that is there -does anyone not wonder with the least bit of curiosity how we came to posses such a tool - it does not seem at all that it (the brain) developed this capability because of continuously needing to adapt to situations in which it was called upon to grow in the least bit - for then perhaps we might be dealing with a computer that is almost worked to capacity - no this computer is no where near being used for what it was built to do or in any way shape or form -how it was designed to function - In fact I would venture to say (as I have been thinking about quite deeply) that there remains a great need for the proper sofware to be introduced after the software that we have in the brain is removed - since what we have been doing as a species is merely upgrading a mere hodgepodge of a bit of software that has somehow evolved within this supercomputer on it's own without any specific or real thought as to how in any way shape or form this computer would be utilized more effectively to utilize a greater part of it's potential.

I am not looking to increase sales!

No, I am not looking to increase my sales -


I am simply looking to help as many people get, achieve, accomplish and realize as many of the things that they would like to -

These are totally different and contradictory goals -

One is focused on my goals , my interests and my business - and the other is focused stictly on what it is that I and my business skills, tools, knowledge and ideas can do for other people whether they are individuals working on their own personal projects or individuals working alone in their own small businesses or if they are individuals working together with others in large corporations - or non-profit organizations or individuals working together towards goals of countries as well -

The faster a potential customer realizes that I am here looking to do whatever I can in their best interest - then the faster they will see the value which I am willing to create together with them in such as way by working together with them - the faster our business relationship will begin -

perhaps instantaneously - with that realization - or vision -
